We love the 208 GTi, even more so when it comes equipped with a full exhaust and ready for tuning. This car came to us in almost brand new condition, although it already had 25.000km. It was a 2015 model with EP6-CDTX engine (Euro5), that produces around 200bhp stock.
A Scorpion full exhaust had been installed to improve performance but because of the sports cat converter, P0420 would trigger the Check Engine Light on the dashboard.
This is a common problem with sports catalytic converters that come with aftermarket exhausts, because although their emissions make the car road legal, they are not good enough to keep up with the ECU’s cat filtration standards. The warning light is taken care of by our Etuners Stage2 ECU remap.
An Etuners Stage2 remap for 98RON was installed on the car, flashed via OBD with FlasherTHP. Power rose to 232.5hp from 212hp, together with an additional 31ft*lbs of torque over stock.

- Maximum flywheel torque: 256.7 ft*lbs (measured on stock map and Scorpion exhaust as 225.8 ft*lbs), gains 31ft*lbs
The stock intercooler is the limitation factor for power output on a Stage2 car, since it overheats very easily.With the addition of an upgraded intercooler, the EP6-CDTX engine can reach 250hp very easily on 98RON.
