The smallest diesel engine choice for the 208s, it struggles a little bit on highways with only 70hp. Luckily Peugeot installed an intercooler to this small engine (unlike the same era Citroen’s C3 with the same engine) aiding the performance at higher rpm.
We measured stock 75.5hp and 185Nm of torque.Due to automatic 5-speed transmission we restrained the torque at lower rpm. After the remap we measured 91.3hp and more than 200Nm of torque from 2250 to 3250 rpm .Now the car can cruise and accelerate on highways with ease at speeds that before was complete out of the question.
